Who this group is designed for?: The Cuenca Cancer Support Group (CCSG) is designed to support people with cancer, their families, caregivers and support people, and for people who do not have cancer but would like to learn more about how to prevent cancer from becoming a part of their lives.
When and where will the group meet?: The first meeting of the CCSG will be held on Friday, September 11 from 2:00 – 3:30 PM at Esteves de Toral 13 31 y Vega Munos. The group will meet the second and forth Friday of each month at the time and location indicated above unless otherwise posted differently.
Fee for the group: The CCSG is free to all and is sponsored by The Cuenca Holistic Health Network (www.CuencaHolisticHealth.com).
Who will be conducting the sessions?: Each meeting the Support Group will invite doctors (retired or practicing), practitioners, nutritionists, herbalists, etc who have experience in the support of cancer patients. Whenever possible we will be announcing the speaker for the following week at each session. The main purpose for the gatherings is to support you in your journey, allow you to meet and talk with other cancer patients, and receive support and information from caring professionals and each other.
Group facilitator - Robert Higgins LMFT, CH. Robert has facilitated Cancer support groups for Dartmouth Medical Center and has been a guest speaker at “The Stowe Weekend of Hope – for cancer patients and their caregivers”, and featured speaker at “The New England Holistic Nursing Assoc Conference.”
